Reflection on ASGA Summit
Dear Mr. Oxendine,
With heartfelt gratitude, I want to express my sincere appreciation for the remarkable experience at the ASGA Summit this past weekend. I left Washington, D.C. with a renewed sense of purpose in advocacy and an even deeper passion for government that extends beyond the classroom. Conferences like this transform ordinary students into extraordinary leaders, and I am truly honored to have benefited from your work and dedication.
The workshops were exceptional—each offering invaluable insight into how I can more effectively lead our chapter. I am eager to return to Savannah Technical College and implement the strategies and perspectives I gained.
One of my most significant takeaways from your session was the importance of leveraging stakeholders. At my college, student-led initiatives often encounter resistance from administration, and I believe that establishing student representation on the Board of Trustees could bridge that gap and foster more meaningful progress. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts—and perhaps your willingness—to introduce this idea to our senior leadership at Savannah Tech.
